Foundation
Lawyers Watch for Justice International Initiative was founded in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to advance human rights, promote access to justice, and provide legal support to vulnerable communities.
The Acquittal of the Oyigbo 4
Successfully secured the acquittal of four individuals in the Oyigbo 4 case, a landmark victory that reinforced the principles of fair trial, due process, and the protection of fundamental human rights.
The Acquittal of the Benin 6
Achieved the acquittal of six individuals in the Benin 6 case, demonstrating the organization's unwavering commitment to justice, legal advocacy, and the defense of the wrongly accused.
The Release of the Warri 67
Played a pivotal role in securing the release of 67 individuals in the Warri 67 case, highlighting the organization's dedication to protecting human rights and challenging unlawful detention.
Re-establishment and Training of South-West Paralegals in Nigeria
Revitalized the South-West Paralegal Network through comprehensive training and capacity-building programs, equipping community advocates with the knowledge and tools needed to expand access to justice at the grassroots level.
The Release of the Port Harcourt 24
Successfully advocated for and secured the release of 24 individuals in Port Harcourt, reaffirming the organization's mission to uphold justice and safeguard the rights of marginalized persons.
